Rosemount Estate was established by Robert Oatley and his family in 1969
when they purchased 750 acres of land above the junction of the Hunter
& Goulburn rivers in Australia's oldest wine growing region. They planted
the best classified grape varieties from around the world including Chardonnay,
Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon.
Today, Rosemount Estate continues to be wholly owned by the Oatley family who have extended their vineyard development throughout Australia, to a definitive range of strategically located premium sites that express the natural relationship between grape variety and Australian terroir.
